Through the eyes of competitor Boris Parvanov we can also see the race and the collateral activities of the participants who come to enjoy the competition, from Bucharest and its surroundings.
Boris is a contestant from Bulgaria, influencer in the Bulgarian cycling community knowing that most of the foreign competitors in the First Escape come from Bulgaria.
He made two films.
The first film is about the whole experience in Romania. How did he get there?, how he got lost among the elevators, how he visited Bucharest and what he liked. It also included a short summary from the race. How was the start?, important moments, fall, finishul, the people at the finish and every stage he went through there. It was almost everywhere. Even in the medical tent.
He stayed with the family from Friday to Monday. He caught Bucharest with the streets open to the people, was at the Therme, visited the parks, and other well-known tourist attractions.
We, organizers, if we wanted to make a film as descriptive we couldn't see from this point of view and that's why we leave this experience here.
Such transparent communication of the experience is also relevant for sizing the impact that mass sporting events have on localities, the countries where they take place. This effect is twofold. One image, which also has a long-term economic benefit, and another is an immediate economic benefit for the places visited (restaurant, places of leisure, hotels, Museums, magazine, etc.).
The second film is about the whole race.
The race is filmed with two cameras, both of which can be watched on the same screen. Set a higher resolution.
the, in addition to images, it offers a lot of technical details. On the top left is the route map and Boris's position on the map. In the upper right is his position in the leaderboard and it changes in real time.
At the bottom you have: speed (to the left), the power (and to the power it reaches 800 of watts at the final sprint), the pulse in the lower right, cadence, etc.
He goes through several platoons, advances, he falls at one point and then tries to recover by oscillating between places 30 one 50 overall. Spectacular is also the final sprint with 40km per hour on the last cornered section and with the maximum power developed.
He meets many friends from Bulgaria, la start, on the route and at the finish, and has discussions about how the race was. Does not have (inca) subtitle but understandable.
Enjoy.
